UltraCoder supports 38+ AI providers. Switch models per conversation or set a global default.
What is the default model?
The default model is UltraSafe AI (usf-mini-x1) — a managed provider that requires no API key. Usage draws from your UltraCoder credit balance.
How do I change the model?
Click the model selector at the bottom of the chat panel to switch for the current conversation. To set a default, open Settings → Providers.
How do I add my own API key?
Open Settings → Providers, select a provider (e.g. Anthropic), and paste your API key. Keys are stored in VS Code's encrypted SecretStorage — never in plaintext config files.
Which providers are supported?
UltraSafe AI, Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT / o-series), Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Mistral, DeepSeek, Groq, Ollama, LM Studio, OpenRouter, and 28 more.
