Is UltraCoder free?
UltraCoder is free to download and use as an editor. The managed AI provider (UltraSafe AI) requires credits, which you purchase in the dashboard. Using your own API keys from Anthropic, OpenAI, or others is free on the IDE side — you pay your provider directly.
Is my code sent to external servers?
Only when you use a managed or external AI provider. When you send a message, the relevant file context is included in the request. When using Ollama (local inference), nothing leaves your machine.
Can I install VS Code extensions?
UltraCoder is compatible with most VS Code extensions. Open the Extensions panel (⌘⇧X) and install from the marketplace as usual.
How do I update UltraCoder?
UltraCoder checks for updates automatically on startup. When one is available, a notification appears in the bottom-right corner. Click Restart to Update to apply it.
