Chat Overview
The AI chat panel is your primary interface for working with UltraCoder.
How do I open the chat panel?
The panel opens automatically on startup. Press ⌘L / Ctrl+L to focus the chat input from anywhere in the editor. You can also open the Command Palette (⌘⇧P) and search 'UltraCoder: Focus Chat'.
How do I send a message?
Type your request in the input box and press Enter. Use Shift+Enter for a new line. Attach files with @filename mentions or drag images directly into the chat.
What is a task?
Each conversation is a task. Tasks persist in history so you can resume or review them later. Click the + icon in the toolbar to start a new task, or the clock icon to browse previous ones.
How do I interrupt UltraCoder?
Click the Stop button (square icon) while UltraCoder is running. It will finish its current tool call and pause. You can then continue with a follow-up message or start fresh.
